General Information
- Employment is intended to be a service to our community. Please post only legitimate jobs and truthful resumes.
- Use appropriate language in your postings. All postings are reviewed before going ‘live’ on the site, and those with inappropriate or offensive language will not be accepted.
- Allow at least one business day (Monday thru Friday) for your posting to appear online. We do review postings before they’re allowed to go ‘live’, and we may need to contact you for clarification or verification before activation.
Info for Job Seekers
- All registration information is required, but you may select which contact info is displayed with your resume posting. Obviously, you must chose to display at least one of either phone number, fax number, or e-mail address to enable prospective employers to contact you. Make note of the login name and password you entered.
- After you've completed your registration, go to the 'Post A Resume' page to enter information about the type of position you are seeking and your qualifications and background.
- Position Desired should be indicative of the position or job responsibilities you are interested in. This can be in the form of a job title or a phrase. It will be the ‘tag line’ representing your resume in the list of all resumes on file.
- The education brief should state level of formal education - diploma, degrees, certifications, trade licenses, technical training, etc.
- Resume briefs should be just that - brief. The intent here is not to duplicate your formal, printed resume but rather to present enough information to prompt a prospective employer to contact you. Summarize skills, knowledge areas, and experience level into a ‘snap-shot’ of your qualifications. If you’re also interested in employment options outside of your experience background, this is the place to mention that too.
Info for Job Providers
- All registration information is required, but you may select which contact info is displayed with the job posting, and whether the company info is displayed. Obviously, you must chose to display at least one of either phone number, fax number, or e-mail address to enable job seekers to contact you. Make note of the login name and password you entered.
- After you've completed your registration, go to the 'Post A Job' page to enter information about the job position you are seeking to fill.
- Job Name should be the position title or otherwise indicative of the responsibilities associated with the job you are posting. This can be in the form of the actual title or a phrase. It will be the ‘tag line’ representing your job posting in the list of all postings on file.
- Job description should disclose educational qualifications, job responsibilities, industry and/or work experience requirements, etc. Also relevant is information about the company and/or benefits, and the contact method you prefer job seekers to use. Compensation information may also be included here, or in the ‘Compensation’ data field on the same input form.
